I built Gerovia because I went looking for straight answers about longevity treatments in Ireland and could not find any.

What I found instead was a wall of clinic marketing. Every page told me a treatment was transformative. None of them told me what the research actually showed, what it cost, or whether the version being sold to me was the same version that had been studied.

So Gerovia is the site I wanted to find. It lists every clinic in Ireland and Northern Ireland offering these treatments, checked one by one. And it reads the research behind each treatment and reports what it says, including when the answer is unwelcome.

What I am, and what I am not

I am not a doctor. I have no medical or scientific qualification, and nothing on this site is medical advice or a substitute for talking to your GP.

What I do is research and verification. I read the primary literature rather than press releases about it. When a clinic or an article cites a study, I find the study, read the methods, check the sample size, look for a control group, and check who funded it. Then I report what it actually found, in plain English, with the citation attached so you can check my work.

That is a researcher's job rather than a clinician's, and it is the job this site needs doing. In a field where most of the competing information is written by people selling the treatment, someone reading the papers carefully and having no stake in the answer is worth more than another confident opinion.

How I work

Every clinic listed here was checked against a live website by me. No listing is invented, bought, or scraped from another directory.

Every treatment page and research article cites its sources. If a claim has no citation, it should not be on this site, and if you find one, tell me and I will fix it or remove it.

I report negative and null findings. If the best trial of a treatment found it did not beat a placebo, that goes on the page next to the positive results. A directory that only prints good news is a brochure.

Corrections

I get things wrong. When that happens I fix the page, note what changed and date it, rather than quietly editing and moving on.

Independence

No clinic has paid to be listed on Gerovia, and no clinic can pay to change what a page says about the evidence. The full position is on the editorial policy page.
